First edition, first impression of this large format hardback. Printed in 1965 by Nelson Readers Union. There is wearing to the edges of the dust jacket and some light toning. The is also toning to the covers of the book, otherwise, no markings. 

An exploration of the London art scene in the 1960s, with photographs by Lord Snowdon. Private View was a comprehensive effort by Bryan Robertson, John Russell and Lord Snowdon to promote the contemporary London art world. The book examines the current painters and sculptors (Moore, Hepworth, Bacon, Sutherland, Hockney, et al), the dealers, the critics, the connoisseurs, the schools and the teachers. Snowdon's photographs provide an important record of all the key players.
