You have to take the bus to the Madeleine at night around 10pm and then a boat to Calais in the middle of the night, a train to London where you change trains for another train to Stranraer north of Liverpool, and finally the ferry to Larne before a last bus to Belfast. Thus begins the tenuous story between a photographer and a people, who over the years will experience the sclerosis of the Northern Ireland conflict that began in the late 1960s. Forty years of photography weave here the backstory of a story told to us by the photographer, starting with the death of Bobby Sands, and ending on the eve of Brexit.
