About My Own Story (signed)
My Own Story is not only the biography of one of the biggest personalities in the opera world, but a recount of being a tenor, as well as the different theories of singing and the how things work in the industry.
While he was doing an international "farewell tour", Pavarotti was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer , back in 2006. The tenor fought back against the implications of this diagnosis, undergoing major abdominal surgery and making plans for the resumption and conclusion of his singing commitments,
but he died at his home in Modena on 6 September 2007. After his death, his manager, Terri Robson, noted in a statement, "The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterised his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness"
