So, In Passing by Ian Howorth brings together an eclectic selection of images from Ian’s already extensive archive of 35mm film work. His eye is magnetised positively by the sometimes kitsch originality of the UK’s sea side towns and indeed beyond. This publication looks to reveal some of the stories attached to those images as well as displaying Ian’s typically inspiring approach to the medium.

Artist Bio
“So, I pursue what is close to me. The things that are always there every day but somehow ignored and so not scrutinised. Exploring England through its changing colour palettes, buildings, structures and also signage. I attempt to go back to a past I remember as a young boy when England was nothing more than a holiday destination for me.” – Ian Howorth
Ian’s first book Arcadia was published by Setanta Books in 2019 and is now sold out. This debut series explored themes that are still evident in Ian’s work today.
