About Pony Kids
Once a month a horse fair is held at Smithfield in north Dublin. In the almost medieval atmosphere the kids from the tough Dublin estates can buy ponies for the price of a pair of trainers. The pony kids now exist in defiance of moves to licence such trading, portrayed here in photographs.
