KIM Jungman (1954, KR) lives and works in Seoul. He is one the most important contemporary artists in his country. As an adolescent, he lived first in Burkina Faso, then in France, where he studied painting that the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art in Nice (FR). It was there that he discovered his passion for photography. When he returned to Seoul, his avant-garde and often controversial work in the worlds of commerce and fashion gained him his reputation. In 2006, he concentrated on his personal work. Street of Broken Hearts was published in 2018 to accompany the exhibition at the Hanmi Museum in Seoul and then, in 2019, by Nazraeli Press.
