Seamus Murphy

Seamus Murphy is a photographer and filmmaker. Regardless of subject or medium, he strives in all his work for intimacy and poetic realism. He is the author of four previous books, and cinematographer/director of two feature documentary films. He has won seven World Press Photo awards for his work in Afghanistan, Gaza, Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Peru, UK and Ireland. His work is in the collections of The Getty Museum (USA), Imperial War Museum (UK), National Gallery (Ireland) and FRAC, Auvergne (France).
